St Andrew’s Day – Monaco Style
Monday was St Andrew’s Day (The Patron Saint of Scotland) and Rob Rutter and Howard Walker organised a Maverick’s club St Andrew’s Lunch at the Columbus Hotel Monaco.
The entertainment for the day was provided by Paul Dobie who coincidentely went to school with me in Blackpool and still lives near my parents in Lytham St. Annes!
About 40 of us met in the Columbus bar at 12.30 and had a lunch of Haggis, Angus Beef with trimmings, cheese and trifle and of course copious amounts of wine. Paul entertained us all afternoon magnificently and when we adjourned to Slammers Bar he came with us and played in the bar all evening.
