Identity Theft on Facebook

Whilst most of us have become more aware over the last few years of the dangers of identity theft and are consequently very careful to protect ourselves. It is amazing how much personal information many will be prepared to divulge on the internet, particularly on social networking sites like facebook.

    Damian- I am the author of the Facebook id theft protection guide and really appreciate you taking the time to share it with your readers.

    While there are many potential risks in the “cyber world”, I think the best advice is to just use common sense and not divulge anything online that you wouldn’t hand out to any stranger on the street.

    Thanks for that, I agree completely a good rule of thumb. So if you wouldn’t release the information to a complete stranger then definitely don’t make it available on the net. And if some of your close friends and colleagues are not privy to it then …..
