Advertising on the French and Italian Riviera - RivieraAds.com

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Map of the French RivieraImage via WikipediaI have just launched a new advertising medium for anyone supplying any goods or services to Monaco, the French Riviera and the Italian Riviera .

RivieraAds is an online Directory of businesses and services available to residents of the Rivieras of France and Italy and the surrounding areas.

The advertiser is able to place a Phota Ad in a category of his choice, manage his own account, and change the text links and photo whenever he likes. There is a link to a web site of the advertisers choice or if preferred we will host a web page on our system.

For the launch period we are offering a Charter Member subscription of €10 per month plus bonuses. For full details visit RivieraAds Launch Offer or

It is Grand Prix time in Monaco so I am off to the port now to soak up some of the atmosphere and watch Blah Blah who are playing on the roof at the Rascasse.

I was setting up some new video sites the other day and started watching some of my favourite old clips and came across this one which was done for Comic Relief a few years ago.

Jungle Book

Monday, February 11th, 2008

Just saw this on YouTube and thought I should share it.

It also reminded me of the Jungle Book Film and got me thinking that if you are looking for presents for any reason (probably not valentines day) You should check out some of these!

Superball

Monday, February 4th, 2008

I got invited to a friends house for a superball party last night. Here in Monaco the coverage was due to start about 22H and the match at midnight. I arrived around 22H30 and we settled in for some tacos, beers and football. Unfortunately no-one had checked if they could get the channel that was showing the game….

Not the end of the world as no on us were real fans - it was in fact just an excuse for a party which we had no intention of spoiling just because we couldn’t see the game!

So I staggered back to my place at about 5am checked online to find that there had been one of the biggest upsets in Softball history and the underdog Giants came back to win the game in
the final minute.

All that goes to show firstly the importance of planning in any situation and secondly the fact that the small guy can succeed even in the most adverse circumstances. Also of course if you are not on the pitch you cannot win the game!

So whatever youi are doing make sure to plan, take action and don’t give up.

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”

I missed the game but caught some of the ads!

Stephen Pierce presentation at WIME

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

I have been downloading some of the speakers presentations from WIME and it is amazing how much energy I am picking up just on the videos!

I was just watching Stephen Pierce’s again and was reminded that he had made a point of there being 3 main ways to monetize a website or blog:

Pay Per Click eg Google AdWords

Pay Per Sale eg Affiliate Marketing

and

Pay Per Lead, which Stephen believed was being neglected to a certain extent especially given the fact that commissions are paid just for introductions without the client having to commit to any expenditure.

England in the World Cup Final

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Well I don’t think many of us expected it but England are in the Final!

I went to Marseille for the last warm up game before the World Cup and quite honestly we got stuffed by the French but neither team were any good. Just goes to show what can happen in a short period in a World Cup situation.

After the match I got down to see the second and third Blah Blah sets at La Rascasse, which was packed and rocking until closing.

As always great to see the guys but now I need about a week to recover!

Neil and Marielles Wedding

Monday, October 8th, 2007

29th September 2007
I was priviledged to be invited to the wedding of Neil and Marielle in Menton.

I have known Neil for nearly as long a I have been in Monaco and we have seen each other go through a lot.

I am happy to say that he included me amongst his friends who were invited to spend a special day with him his long term partner and now wife Marielle and their family.

Congratulations and Thanks for a great day.

Not to forget the Cabaret!

World Internet Summit

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

As some of you may know I attended my first Internet Conference last month when I went to San Francisco for the World Internet Main Event. Having heard from the likes of Tim Brocklehurst and Bob the Teacher that this was the fastest way to make progress I can only say that the eventsurpassed all of my expectations and I stongly advise anyone starting off in the internet marketing business to attend an event as soon as you get a chance.

The next event I shall be attending will be the World Internet Summit to be held in London from 15th to 18th November.

America - Land of the Free?

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

I have just spent 5 days in San Francisco at the World Internet Main Event and was about to post a reply to Bob The Teacher’s Chris Morris “losing his butt” Video and fill you in on my visit to Google with Simon Leung, Gary Ambrose, Keith Wellman and Tracy Rupchuck. However I just received an email from Mark Hunteridge which trully knocked me sideways and am therefore posting this instead.

but feel free to comment if you wish and please use the viral power of the internet to let as many people as possible see this completely irrational and unnecessary act of barbarism on a University Campus in the Country that has self appointed itself as the protector of the weak!
