Happy New Year, England and Val D’Isère
Monday, January 4th, 2010Happy New Year Year and all the best for 2010.
I am just coming to the end of what I would describe as a well deserved break away from work in Monaco. I have been in the North of England visiting my parents for Xmas. My brother Mark and his family are here from Australia and my brother Tony and his wife Suna were up from London as well.
I got delayed two hours leaving Nice on EasyJet and an other 2 hours upon arrival at Liverpool before they would let us off the plane! After that everything could only get better.
Snow in Lytham St Annes with my parents for the first time I can remember
Mark had done a house swap with his family house in Sydney with a family from London so the whole family went down to London for New Year where my parents had a great time at Billy Elliot and we were all spoiled by Matthew and Carla on New Tears Eve. (Glad to hear you all got to the airport the next day for your flight to New York).
Got the snow train to Val D’Isère on the 2nd with Mark and his family and am currently recovering after the first 2nd days skiing. I am starting to believe that I am not 20 any more – it is 10-21 and I am struggling to keep awake.
It has hardly stopped snowing since we got here so the snow is very good.
I am looking forward to a few more days skiing with Mark, Barbie Tim and Georgia and will get the train back to Monaco on Saturday Morning.
Hope you have all had a great Xmas and New Year and hope 2010 will be the bring you whatever you are missing.
Monaco Branch of Liverpool Supporters Club in Florence

On Tuesday we had the first outing of the Monaco branch of the Liverpool Supporters Club.
Seven of us had obtained tickets through the Club for the Fiorentina V Liverpool Champions League game in Florence. We left Monaco at midday and arrived in Florence at around 4-30.
We picked up the tickets at the team hotel and headed into town for some sightseeing.
By then we were very thirsty and managed to find a café right in one of the main squares that seemed very happy to let us in. When we got the bill half an hour and three beers later we found out why! € 8.50 for half a lager, we thought it was bad in Monaco!
Off to the ground where we had a great welcome from the Fiorentina fans and staff with free pasta and water outside the ground and banners inside.
Unfortunately Liverpool played like schoolboys in the first half and gave away 2 goals to go in 2-0 down at half time. They were better (but not great) in the second half but failed to put the ball in the back in the net and ended the game losing 2-0.
We bumped into the Paris supporters as we were leaving the game as they were taking some photos.
Not the greatest result for our first away trip but everyone enjoyed the day out and showed interest in going to the game in Lyon at the beginning of December.

French Cosmetics and Marketing in a Foreign Language
Saturday, April 25th, 2009Marketing in any high profile niche is difficult but if the prices and products are good enough we can over the long term build a very successfull business.
I am currently helping a French Entrepreneur launch his successful offline distribution businesses on the internet. The first to go live is a Cosmetics and Hair Care Site and the Professional Cosmetics Site and Discount Quality Summer Clothing Site
are in development and will be live shortly.
The difference here is that these are French language sites which I am helping tanslate to English. Don’t believe the programs that claim to do translations for you, it would be like using a foreign language magazine which changed its page titles to English but left the copy in the original language to try to market your products in USA.
This has however opened my eyes to the opportunity of marketing to Non English Speaking Markets. As we all know using up to date IM techniques to market to non IM Niches allows us to gain a huge advantage over the competition.
Imagine applying those same techniques to find profitable niches in underdeveloped foreign language markets.
I have the advantage of being fluent in French and English and up to date with IM marketing skills however I can honestly say that I have rarely if ever seen an IM manual or training program offered in any other language than English.
Imagine if you could have been the first Guru to publish an Ebook on Adwords in English, or a how to create a membership site in English – Or even the 100th!!!!
If anyone is interested in discussing this further and entering into a partnership, or if you want to try out a French site send me a comment or email we can build a business/JV together.
Don’t forget one of the richest per capita Countries in the world is Monaco, which is French speaking and also where I live.
Send me an email at damian@RivieraAds.com
Good luck and keep the faith
Damian
If you have any comments on the sites mentioned above please leave a message below. Our aim is to help everyone enjoy and benefit from the internet but in order to do so we need your feedback.
