Simon Leung’s AdWords Workshop

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

I am currently in San Jose reflecting on Simon Leung’s AdWords Workshop which finished yesterday. I would recommend any of you using or thinking of using AdWords to try to attend one of Simon’s events as your return will outweigh your expense by a factor of ten or more.
Whether you can attend one of his events or not I strongly recommend his AdWords Listbuilding Course which again will pay for itself in no time at all.

I met a lot of great people this weekend including two of the best graphics I guys I have ever met, I call them the Pocket Size Graphics Guys but they are also known as the Miami kids and the Twins!

Their site is minisitedesigns.net so go and check it out and let me know what you think.

I will post some more details of what happened this weekend when I get back to Monaco but for now here are Rob and Daniel (The Pocket Size Graphics Guys) generally winding down at the aftershow dinner on the last night with Deb Micek from Blogi360.com (Now to change its name to Salezbuilder.com) an awesome automated system that boosts your traffic, builds your list, and increases conversions leaving you to get on with building your business.

I have not completed my installation atwww.damiancrean.com as I have been travelling nearly non stop since WIME however when I get back to Monaco it will a priority and I hope to be operational by December.and Rod Beckwith from AnyWidget.com (out of camera)

See you soon

Blah Blah Live at La Rascasse

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

I haven’t had a chance to see Blah Blah since the Grand Prix as I have been away or busy whenever they have been in town. So when Al called me earlier this week to say they were back at La Rascasse for Thursday Friday and Saturday I cleared my diary.

The two Alans and YoYo came to the flat for a drink before the gig on Thursday and we all went down together and I agreed to take some more video. Although it was not one of the busiest Blah Blah nights they went down well as usual and we ended up back at mine for a debrief until about 6 am!

I am still sorting the videos but this one captures some of the Blah Blah magic.

I will be posting more videos of Blah Blah all week so bookmark the page if you are fans, friends or just interested and leave comments if you are so inclined.

Hope you get more sleep than I will this weekend; finished with the Blahs at about 5 this morning and am squeezing this post in between the Football, Rugby, a Karting launch party and of course the Blahs last night at the Rascasse where I believe some other old friends Julian Lennon, Gregory Darling and Jamaican Dave are threatening an appearance.

Fortunately Sunday is a day of rest!

If you don’t know Gregory Darling’s music check his websites:

Any internet marketers out there who have still not attended a conference do it ASAP I will be at the World Internet Summit in London at the end of November and strongly advise you attend.

Neil and Marielles Wedding

Monday, October 8th, 2007

29th September 2007
I was priviledged to be invited to the wedding of Neil and Marielle in Menton.

I have known Neil for nearly as long a I have been in Monaco and we have seen each other go through a lot.

I am happy to say that he included me amongst his friends who were invited to spend a special day with him his long term partner and now wife Marielle and their family.

Congratulations and Thanks for a great day.

Not to forget the Cabaret!

Simon Rutter with Hed Kandi at the Rascasse

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

Towards the end of July I was having a drink with Lisa and Scotty and we got onto the subject of Hed Kandi and the Rascasse. Anyway one thing led to another and I managed to pursuade Scotty to offer the warm up DJ spot on Friday 3rd to Rob Rutters son, Simon who I knew was arriving from England that week.

I had heard Simon DJ at Black Diamond during the Grand Prix but it was a complete leap of faith (or heineken) on the part of Scotty which I am sure he does not regret, but thanks all the same mate.

I asked Rob on the Monday if Simon would be interested and Rob checked with Simon to be left with “Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God!!!!!” as a reaction; Simon was well aware of Hed Kandi and the opportunity he was being offered.

Anyway my job done I introduced the parties and duly turned up on Friday night expecting vats of free drink. I can assure you I was not disappointed.

Simon started the night downstairs around 22.30 and got a good vibe for the early set, he then had the difficult task of moving to an empty first floor at around 1.00AM. He coped admirably and soon had the upstairs dancefloor full of bodies before handing over to Miles Nation of Hed Kandi to take us through till around 4.30AM.

Of course as Simon had been working he was not tired and we decided to finish the night in Legends with the other insomniacs and party animals of the town. I got home around 7.OOam and slept most of Saturday. Still it was a good night and I think everyone got something from it so a rare win-win situation.

To cap it all off for Simon, later in the week Rob booked Miles Nation to DJ for Simon’s birthday party back in England in October - now that’s what Dad’s are for……

For those of you who could not make it or can’t remember it here is a short video of the best bits!
