European Luxury Eyewear distributor SeeQual SARL have recently signed a new deal with Australian based sunglasses label Graz, headed by Graz Mulcahy.

One of the best kept secrets in eyewear, Graz surprises with a fashion
forward debut eyewear collection with outstanding craftmanship
quality. His work has been adored by great minds and has a strong
following.

Graz has spent the last 10 years sharpening his creative mind and his
pencil. At 19 years old he successfully launched AM eyewear and soon
after became Chef Designer at Tsubi Eyewear. His designs have been
sold in some of the world’s best boutiques including Barneys New York,
Collette Paris and Maxfields Los Angeles.

Having been identified by the luxury press as one of the most important
up and coming eyewear designers on recent times the Graz collection
was voted “Best Sunglasses Design of The Year” by Vogue Magazine in
2008. Grazia Magazine called the designer Graz “King of Accessories
for 2009”.

SeeQual will add Graz to existing brands : Oliver Goldsmith, Dita and SALT.

I was recently approached to produce a website for a client specialising in Positive Material Identification. I had absolutely no idea what PMI was but agreed to meet up with him to discuss his requirements and to learn exactly what he was doing.

I learnt that PMI is a form of Non Destructive Testing which is used in oil and gas exploration, construction, petroleum and petrochemical facilities, where the emphasis is on reliability, safety and accident prevention.

Wikipedia defines NDT as ” a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.[1] Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a highly-valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research. Common NDT methods include ultrasonic, magnetic-particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, and eddy-current testing.[1] NDT is a commonly-used tool in forensic engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, systems engineering, aeronautical engineering, medicine, and art”

I make posts on this blog for a variety of reasons, sometimes just to have a rant about something that has bugged me, or to report on the progress of Liverpool Football Club and the Monaco Branch of the Supporters Club, however on other occasions I make a post regarding a friends business or my business in order to get Search Engine Ranking Position (SERP) for various keywords and help market the business.

The last post I made Oliver Goldsmith, Dita and SALT Sunglasses was made after an evening in the Pub watching Ireland robbed by Thierry Henry’s double handball and the officials inability to spot said handballs and the earlier off-side!

I had watched the game with Anthony Reid who is the owner of SeeQual SARL, a newly formed Monaco Company which has the European Distribution Rights for the Oliver Goldsmith, Dita and SALT Luxury eyewear brands. SeeQual have just launched their new website and he was asking for some advice on how to get a good SERP.

Having promised to have a look at his site and being unable to sleep for cursing the French, I sat at the PC for a couple of hours and came up with a number of very fundamental changes to the site which should increase the organic SERP. I also decided to make a post to this blog to illustrate how a first page Google Ranking could be achieved fairly easily.

Sure enough within an hour or so the post appeared on the first page of Google.co.uk and Google.fr for the following search phrases:

salt. eyewear european distributor

salt eyewear european distributor

european distributor of salt eyewear

oliver goldsmith eyewear european distribution

Oliver Goldsmith Sunglasses European Distributor

dita eyewear european distributor

Satisfied and tired enough to forget the French I sent Anthony an email illustrating what I had done and went to bed.

The following day I spoke to Anthony and after an initial technical problem with the hosting company he got the same results as I did for Google Searches and understood better that it is a necessary part of web site creation to make sure that the site is optimised for the correct keyword phrases.

That evening I was closing down for the day and decided to google search for some other keywords and see if there had been any changes overnight. I was astounded to find that there was no reference to this blog post in either Yahoo or Google and to date there still is not.

If anyone has any ideas what has caused this please let me know, I don’t think the post broke any of Google’s guidelines and the other posts are still referenced, perhaps it is linked with the technical problems with the hosting which put the site down for a good part of Thursday.

I will keep you posted if I anything else occurs!

SEEQUAL S.A.R.L. is the European distributor of Luxury Eyewear brands from around the world, partnering these collections with the finest retail stores in Europe.

With the head office in Monaco SeeQual distribute the following luxury sunglasses brands :

Oliver Goldsmith

Founded in 1926 by Philip Oliver Goldsmith, a former salesman for a small optical firm, Oliver Goldsmith were the first to see glasses as fashion accessories, the brand was the first to appear in Voge, the first to be endorsed by Celebrities and Royals and the first to work alongside fashion houses to create one-off pieces for the catwalks. Think 20th Century icons. Grace Kelly, Michael Caine, Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon. Think iconic films of the Fifties and Sixties. The Ipcress File, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Two for the Road. They’ve all got one thing in common: Oliver Goldsmith Sunglasses.

Dita

The story of Dita Eyewear is really the story of life long friends, Jeff Solorio and John Juniper co-founders of Dita and the driving forces behind Dita’s celebrated designs. Their common passion for design and photography led them to introduce stylish eyewear inspired by vintage frames from the 50′s through the 80′s. Thereupon Dita has revitalized the old classics that have played a key role in defining personal character and style.

SALT

SALT., founded in 2006, is an independent lifestyle company that creates premium handcrafted eyewear for individuals with a unique sense of style. The company’s name SALT is short for “saltwater”, a metaphor for the independent spirit and sense of freedom felt after spending time in the ocean. This lifestyle transfers to the brand’s designs. SALT. appreciates simple, timeless design, impeccable quality, useful technology, hand-made craftsmanship and the purest fit. SALT. is modern, yet honors the past, and is driven by a minimal sensibility in all things.

SeeQual pride themselves on not only providing their retail partners with great eyewear brands but also their eyewear brands with great retail partners.

Marketing in any high profile niche is difficult but if the prices and products are good enough we can over the long term build a very successfull business.

I am currently helping a French Entrepreneur launch his successful offline distribution businesses on the internet. The first to go live is a Cosmetics and Hair Care Site and the Professional Cosmetics Site and Discount Quality Summer Clothing Site
are in development and will be live shortly.

The difference here is that these are French language sites which I am helping tanslate to English. Don’t believe the programs that claim to do translations for you, it would be like using a foreign language magazine which changed its page titles to English but left the copy in the original language to try to market your products in USA.

This has however opened my eyes to the opportunity of marketing to Non English Speaking Markets. As we all know using up to date IM techniques to market to non IM Niches allows us to gain a huge advantage over the competition.

Imagine applying those same techniques to find profitable niches in underdeveloped foreign language markets.

I have the advantage of being fluent in French and English and up to date with IM marketing skills however I can honestly say that I have rarely if ever seen an IM manual or training program offered in any other language than English.

Imagine if you could have been the first Guru to publish an Ebook on Adwords in English, or a how to create a membership site in English – Or even the 100th!!!!

If anyone is interested in discussing this further and entering into a partnership, or if you want to try out a French site send me a comment or email we can build a business/JV together.

Don’t forget one of the richest per capita Countries in the world is Monaco, which is French speaking and also where I live.

Send me an email at damian@RivieraAds.com

Good luck and keep the faith

Damian

If you have any comments on the sites mentioned above please leave a message below. Our aim is to help everyone enjoy and benefit from the internet but in order to do so we need your feedback.

I would however like to clarify one point made in the video. The video seems to say that a 4 percent increase in sales price will result in a 15 percent increase in net margin. This is incorrect as the effect on net margin will vary according to the percentage Cost of Sales and fixed costs in your business.

The example in the video also asumes that Cost of Sales will increase by the same percentage as sales price, this is incorrect.

The attached excel file shows you some examples of what the effect of different fixed costs will have on this model.

Margin-5

Still looks like a great product.

Keep the faith

The World Internet Summit is currently being held in Sydney Australia. Last year I attended both the World Internet Main Event in San Francisco and the World Internet Summit in London. Both events were well worth attending for a number of reasons but particularly :

The quality and availability of the speakers
and
The networking potential with other attendees

I was fortunate enough to be able to spend quality one to one time with amongst others :

Sean Roach, Armand Morin, Tracy Repchuck, Adam Ginsberg, Simon Leung, Michael Cheney, Keith Wellman, Tim Brocklehurst, Gary Ambrose and Robert Puddy.

As well as to meet and talk with many other attendees about their internet businesses, (successes and failures).

Here’s a video of some of the speakers on day two at the World Internet Summit UK 2007.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vo3mNfnRr1s&rel=1&border=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"width="425" height="355">

Any one else out there with conference or summit experience please let me know whether they were good or bad and why. I am sure that as in most things internet related the quality and value for money will vary enormously. The best indication for me is always the quality and spread of the speakers which you should be able to judge before the event.

I will have a full set of DVDs of the 4 days of WIS London available shortly if anyone is interested in finding out more about these and the bonus package I am putting together to complement the DVDS please leave your details below.

If you have any area of internet marketing that you would like to be covered by part of the bonus then post a comment or send me an email to damian@damiansdomains.com and I will see what I can do.

Keep the faith

I get pestered every day by messages telling me that friends have invited me to do this that or the other on facebook. I used to waste my time trying to open them only to find that 90 per cent of the time they forced me to invite all my friends before I could even open the message.

Obviously facebook’s owners love this as their advertising revenue goes up exponentially. But do they share that with the real owners of facebook – the users?

If they do my check must still be in the post….

I now only open certain posts from certain applications (less and less) however I recently came across a new social networking site which claimed to be “The Worlds First Social Networking Site Which Pays Its Users”. Intrigued I signed up mid January and as they declare users earnings midway through the following month was keen to see if they lived up to their promise…

Sure enough I logged in and was surprised to see that I had in fact earned money in my first 2 weeks on the site. I admit not enough to pay for a sandwich but I remember my first adsense site earned less in its first month.

This is never going to replace your Day Job but if you are spending time on facebook and not getting paid why not give it a try.

After all the whole business of making money on the internet, whether by affiliate marketing, adsense income, EBay , Amazon or selling your own products is about creating multiple sources of income – why not use Yuwie as another perhaps small but painless addition to your portfolio.

Keep the Faith

If you believe in a one stop “get rich quick” solution to making money on the internet then stop reading this now and get a Day Job.

If you would just rather believe that the way you are doing things at the moment is not the most efficient way of doing things and are prepared to work at not having a Day Job then read on…..

If you have been online for any length of time, then you have heard the term “Blog”. You may even have a few in your own marketing bag of tricks.

Blogs have been around for a long time now, but it’s really only been within the last few years that online marketers have discovered just how profitable they can be.

Because blogs can help generate a tremendous amount of traffic to your website(s), which means you are getting more eyeballs on your offers and generating more sales.

While a typical website can take hours to update, a site built around a blog can be updated INSTANTLY and search engines quickly take notice, literally ‘slurping’ up new content.

So when you create a blog and use a variety of keyword related posts, you can easily profit off of the results, which search engines like Yahoo and Google deliver.

For example, if you build blogs around your own products – or even those of someone else – it won’t be long before hungry buyers looking for that product happen upon your blog.

And that just makes the whole sales process a breeze doesn’t it? Rather than try to convince someone that you have what they need, with blogs you can present hungry buyers with EXACTLY what they want.

There Is No Other Method As Effective Or Powerful As Blogging…

JP Schoeffel’s Blog Matrix Pro will help you quickly and easily build your own empire of niche blogs…entire websites based around any topic or market to just about dominate specific targets within that market!
