I am currently in San Jose reflecting on Simon Leung’s AdWords Workshop which finished yesterday. I would recommend any of you using or thinking of using AdWords to try to attend one of Simon’s events as your return will outweigh your expense by a factor of ten or more.
Whether you can attend one of his events or not I strongly recommend his AdWords Listbuilding Course which again will pay for itself in no time at all.

I met a lot of great people this weekend including two of the best graphics I guys I have ever met, I call them the Pocket Size Graphics Guys but they are also known as the Miami kids and the Twins!

I have finally decided to try some of Googles PPC competitors, I was going to start with Yahoo! but whilst looking through Commission Junction came across Enhance Interactive who seemed to offer a slightly different angle.

It is too early to see any results yet but the sign up process and ad creation was simple enough and the cost per click should be considerably less than Google.

According to their own publicity:

They appear to offer a complementary service to the others which should lead to increased returns. I will give you an update in a few weeks.

Every year I promise myself that I will not spend Christmas Eve running around the shops trying to find presents for family and friends that I could have bought at any time during the previous 12 months. Judging by the queues qt the tills I am not the only one!
So this year I have decided to do as much of my festive shopping online well before the 24th.
Amazon is a great place to start and everyone loves DVDs so here is a selection that I have put together that anyone would be pleased to have in their stocking this Xmas.

I cannot take advantage of this because I am based in Europe but for any of you guys based in the US check this out and let me know if it is a good deal.

Please give me some feedback because it seems like a good deal and I would like to promote it but cannot check it out myself.

As some of you may know I attended my first Internet Conference last month when I went to San Francisco for the World Internet Main Event. Having heard from the likes of Tim Brocklehurst and Bob the Teacher that this was the fastest way to make progress I can only say that the eventsurpassed all of my expectations and I stongly advise anyone starting off in the internet marketing business to attend an event as soon as you get a chance.

The next event I shall be attending will be the World Internet Summit to be held in London from 15th to 18th November.

Hello there and welcome

This blog is part of my website http://www.whatdayjob.com which is dedicated to anything that I find fun as well as anything that I find that helps me make a living without getting a real job.

Notice I did not say without working. I will not be promoting get rich quick schemes on this site but real opportunities to free yourself from working in a restricted environment for someone else.
